Texas State Aquarium

A few weeks ago, Gramma came to visit for a long weekend. Jacob had a great idea to take us all to Corpus Christi for the weekend. We had fun! Well, in between the bouts of vomit, constipation, enemas, diarrhea and upset stomachs. Fortunately, and unfortunately, not all for the same person... But Saturday was sickness free, which was a blessing! Because that's the day we went to the Texas State Aquarium :)

There was an interactive whale fountain out front that the kids loved.

And the whole front of the building is a giant waterfall -
but under the covered entrances, you don't get wet.

We saw alligators.

And big fish.

The seahorses were a hit!

And the starfish were pretty cool, too.

But the kids enjoyed getting to touch the pencil urchins and hermit crabs.

And we saw LOTS of fish.

All kinds of silly fish.

And spiny lobster.
Faith told Gramma, "I don't like lobster, I like bacon" ha!

And lion fish.

And jelly fish.
(Can you tell Mommy was having fun learning to use
her camera in different light settings? hehe)

There were SHARKS

And tree frogs.

And a dolphin performance outside

Nathan was the only one brave enough to TOUCH a shark.
Daddy didn't even do that one ;)

The kids compared their wing span to birds'.

And we took a walk out onto the pier.
It was a nice day! Just really cloudy. And not quite warm enough for the beach....
but we'd go there later that day, anyways.

I spotted a few silly fishes by a whale!

And giant turtles

There were lots of sea animals to see and learn about!

We had a fun time at the aquarium!

I'll post about the rest of our trip soon.
